Workplace Exploitation.. !!!

Workplace Exploitation

Is it better even for males those who are at lower levels?

Yesterday we talked about the workplace exploitation for women but today I want talk about males those working at lower level.
Here, I want to discuss a live case happened in Rishikesh yesterday. A junior level clerk form electricity department committed suicide and left a suicide note claiming that the reason for his death was one of his senior bosses who was misbehaving with him since a long time. He was suspended 5 months ago by that senior only and was not given any pay since then. He pleaded before him several time but the boss was unmoved. As the person who committed suicide was personally known to me, I can say that he was a nice guy who was very young of around 27 years of age. Now, today when the case opened in front of everybody, many reported that the above senior official was misbehaving with many others and also with public.
This is just an incident which made me write this in front of you all but the matter is that if the case is true, who is responsible for such cases. It may be possible that department must be knowing about the officer but what now? A young guy has lost his life.
This is not just one case; we have seen many such cases in India. Once again, the statement goes true for males also. If you are seeing any of such action against you by senior officer, just try to open up.
Here I would like to tell you one more thing. All the staff members are claiming that they didn’t knew about all this but how is it possible that none of them knew. Also, it has been made clear by the victim’s wife that his husband was going under serious stress and was very much tensed. The department is claiming to compensate his wife but I don’t think that they can compensate a LIFE.
We all may agree that in these types of cases, the employee goes serious threat about his job and thus results into negative stress and depression.
So as an HR person, I take it as serious challenge because it’s all about HR failure and more or less, failure of INDIAN SYSTEM.

RIP ABHISHEK VERMA (My childhood friend) :(
